Central Drive Scrapers by their names are installed on stationary bridges and driven from the center of the basin. The driving motor/gearbox assembly is fixed on the bridge and rotates the body of the scraper. Bottom scrapers sweep the settled sludge to the center of the basin where the sludge cone is located. Surface scrapers are for pushing the floating scum to the foam funnel.

The scraper drive group is in the center of the reinforced concrete or steel bridge and the bottom and surface scraper tracks are on horizontal arms connected to the central descending shaft.

It can be used in basins up to 16 meters in diameter. As the diameter of the pool increases, the amount of torque should be greater to drive the rotating frame.
